Review:

InfoMagic is a true 'PIM' (personal information manager) that emphasizes information management rather than just operating as a glorified address book.

While it is primarily designed for storing notes and other snippets of information, it can load an e-mail address into your e-mail client, dial your telephone, or open a URL in your Web browser. Never-the-less, InfoMagic is more about the freeform storing of bits of information, any of which can be found using the built-in search function.

This program is a great way of handling assorted information. You can create a number of folders for different subjects (yes, and that can include names and addresses, with interactive telephone numbers, e-mail and Web addresses) and then either limit your search to just that folder or search across all folders. Results are displayed in a separate window with the surrounding text so you can select the occurrence you want and double click on this listing to bring up the appropriate folder and position within that folder. El neato.

We were a little disappointed in the appearance of the program – very bland – but it is highly functional and that is more important overall.

Have a look at InfoMagic, you might be pleasantly surprised!
