vanBasco's Karaoke Player is a skinnable player of Karaoke (KAR) and standard MIDI (MID, MIDI & RMI) files.
Features include: fully customizable Karaoke window; lyrics can be displayed in a resizable window or full-screen; ability to change tempo, volume, key of song; can mute or play solo individual instruments; changes can be saved to playlist so that they are remembered in the future; real-time MIDI output window shows notes, volumes, and instruments; piano view displays notes on a big piano keyboard; ability to manage files in an unlimited number of playlists; etc.
This is a terrific audio player. It offers a main window and up to five sub windows – each of which can be moved, or closed, depending on requirements.
It comes with a playlist of 8 files, 3 of which are karaoke files and include lyrics. Lyrics can be full screen if required too.
Even if you aren't into karaoke, vanBasco's Karaoke Player is a worthwhile acquisition as a MIDI player (with its associated controls and displays).

vanBasco's Karaoke Player has been updated to version 2.50.
The author advises that changes in this version include: a totally new playlist window; browser plugin rock stable now; while you are playing a song, when you press Pause, the piano window will continue to display the last keys which had been played; and many other small improvements to make it a better product overall.
