Review:

IE Booster is a collection of tools that extends the context menu of the Internet Explorer Web browser (version 5 and up).

It features: display of all forms & applets on a Web page; displays page source or shows partial source; displays all hyperlinks, images & stylesheets; displays detailed information of an image; opens the current frame in the same or in a new window; copies page title (or a hyperlink) to the Clipboard; and much more.

This handy IE add-on gives you access to a lot more information about a Web page (yours or someone else's), and also adds a nice array of special features – like the copying to the Windows Clipboard of either the page you are on or a particular hyperlink (the information is copied as a Web link, with tags, etc).

Much of the information is displayed on the author's Website as an information page about the page you were visiting (see screenshot below) and while this gives you a lot of excellent information, it probably would have been better if it had opened a separate window to do this rather than take over the existing window.

With that small comment aside (it was hardly a criticism), IE Booster offers such a wealth of additional functions – and without any system resource baggage! – that we wholeheartedly recommend that everyone who uses IE version 5 or later installs this little beauty, specially WebAuthors.

The Clipboard function alone makes it worthwhile!

IE Booster is a "must have" IE add-on.

Update:April 2, 2003

IE Booster has been updated to version 1.6.

The author advises that changes in this version include: the new functions "Show TABLE, FORM and DIV Borders" & "Show Server Response"; every analysis page now offers a "view source" link; "Show Stylesheets" has been changed; the "open target" for analysis pages is now configurable; and fixed a bug in "Show Images".
