eXtremeMP3 Player is a music player which includes full support for MP3 files and audio CDs.
It features superb graphics, XtremeQuick CD Play, Playlist Editor, ID3 Editor, Update Wizard, and more.
This is a beta version so is probably lacking some of the frills of the full version. Never-the-less, we found very little to criticize about this player as it seems to work extremely well in all areas.
One thing it doesn't do is minimize to an icon in the desktray – an important omission – which means that it always takes up room in the main system tray (where all the open programs live). This real estate is too valuable to lose to an audio player. They are generally relegated to a minimized state so that other work can be done while the music is playing in the background.
eXtremeMP3 Player looks cool. The graphics are excellent and the buttons well positioned. Some more fly-over help is in order but, again, this is a beta version – we assume the final release will include more help.
The Update Wizard, ID3 Editor and PlayList Editor are all great features and the program overall is very professional.
Well worth a look.
eXtremeMP3 Player has been updated to version 1.1.
The author advises that this version includes the following changes: new interface; is now a stand-alone application; includes skin support (includes 5 skins + 1 template to create your own); and more.
